Soft benthic fishes of light brown to dark brown colour. Head length 14-20% SL, anal base about 65% SL. Dorsal finrays 9-11; anal+ caudal finrays 80-107; pelvic fins with free ray plus 0 3. One pelvic plate with one foramen. Lateral line scales oval, concave. Size: to 2 m.
