Diagnosis: dorsal finrays 12; anal finrays 10 12. Colour: dark green above, yellow on sides and white below. Size: to 30 cm SL.

Distribution: eastern Mediterranean (Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Aegean Sea); immigrant via Suez Canal from Indo-western Pacific.
