Diagnosis: body slender and almost cylindrical, depth 7.1 times in SL. Five short, blunt rakers on third gill arch. Dorsal finrays 3; anal finrays 4; pectoral finrays 16; caudal finrays 9. Colour: red-violet with white spots. Size: to about 20 mm SL.
