Diagnosis: head and body covered with scattered minute prickles (with 1 central spine); 2 median chin pores with separate external openings; pores above jaw large but lateral line pores minute. Eyes relatively small, total interorbital width 2.5-3 times eye length. Cirri absent. Colour: uniform greyish-brown. Size: Iargest of the four known specimens 12 cm SL.

Habitat: benthic at about 1,337-1,750 m. Food: no data. Reproduction: no data.
Distribution: off Iceland.
