Diagnosis: eye about 29% of head length. Dorsal and anal finrays about 70, caudal finrays 2-3. Lowest 8 or so pectoral finrays free, not separated from remaining pectoral finrays by an interspace. Size: to at least 60 mm SL.

Habitat: possibly pelagic. Food: no data. Reproduction: no data.

Distribution: known from one specimen taken off Cape St Vincent at 732 m.

Eggs, larvae and young stages. No data.
Otoliths (sagitta). No data.
