Diagnosis: very closely resembling L. flagellicauda except in having a slightly shorter head and predorsal and preanal distances (see key). Size: 11.8 cm (only specimen).

Habitat: benthic on a muddy bottom at 1,993 m, with a bottom temperature of 3 °C. Food: no data. Reproduction: no data.

Distribution: south of Iceland (61° 33' N, 19° 00' W-only known specimen).

Eggs, larvae and young stages. No data.
Otoliths (sagitta). No data.
