Diagnosis: esca with a stout anterior appendage, shorter than escal bulb, with short filaments near base; a single stout medial appendage, more than three times length of bulb, distally forked and with short branches on stem; a short, digitiform, unbranched posterior appendage; no antero-lateral or lateral appendages.

Distribution: only records are the holotype from Caribbean Sea, a specimen from off Hawaii and one from off the Azores.
Eggs, larvae and young stages. One juvenile from 'Dana' St. 4180 (see above).
