Diagnosis: females with 2, well-separated, darkly pigmented, distally bifurcating papillae on dorsal midline of escal bulb; swollen basal part of compressed posterior appendage darkly pigmented; 0-3 vomerine teeth; other characters in genus and key.

Distribution: equatorial and eastern Atlantic; two records, both off Madeira, in Clofnam area.

Eggs, larvae and young stages. No data.
Otoliths (sagitta). No data.
