Minyichthys Herald and Randall, 1972
Superior trunk and tail ridges discontinuous near rear of dorsal fin, inferior trunk and tail ridges discontinuous, lateral trunk ridge confluent with inferior tail ridge. Median dorsal snout ridge with 1-2 spine-like points, confluent behind with supra-orbital ridges; opercular ridge crosses half or more of opercle length. Dorsal, pectoral and anal fins present; caudal finrays 8. Brood pouch located under tail, with pouch plates and membranous folds.
