Genus Buglossidium

Buglossidium Chabanaud, 1930

Anterior nostril on blind side not enlarged. Dorsal fin beginning on upper profile of head before vertical through front of upper eye; pectoral fin on blind side less developed than that of eyed side. Supra-temporal branch of lateral line without tubular scales, indistinct; scales rectangular, intercanalicular striae strongly curved, shorter than width of intercanalicular zone (Dicologoglossa type, see Fig. 1 in family diagnosis).
