Genus Lumpenus

Lumpenus Reinhardt, 1836

Elongate fishes reaching 50 cm SL in Clofnam area (but usually not more than 20 cm). Lower lip rather thick and interrupted at centre; cheek fully scaled. Lower pectoral finrays shorter than middle ones. Caudal fin rounded.

Species 2 or 3; in Clofnam area 2.

Note. To the synonyms of Lumpenus given in Clofnam must be added the North Pacific Leptogunnellus Ayres, 1855 (type: L. gracilis Ayres from San Francisco Bay).
