Bathygadus Gunther, 1878
Snout blunt, jaws about equal or lower jaw slightly protruded; chin barbel absent or less than eye diameter. Finrays normal except outer pelvic finray a little elongate in some (second pectoral finray not elongate); pelvic fins with 7-10 finrays, inserted below or slightly behind pectoral fin base.
Species 14; in Clofnam area 2.
