Scopelogadus Vaillant, 1888
Oral teeth uniseral. Frontal ridges of head not serrate. Head pores of variable size, minute to moderate. Dorsal with 11-14 soft rays and 1-11 spines. Less than 17 rows of scales from nape to caudal base. No cheek scales. 5 pyloric coeca. More or less rare bathypelagic fishes of no commercial value.
