Genus Myliobatis

Myliobatis Cuvier, 1816

Head moderately short, not appreciably narrowing towards snout, the latter bluntly rounded. Teeth tesselate, in 7 rows, the middle row broadest. Dorsal fin originating at or behind level of pelvic fin tips; pectoral fins almost falcate, front margin (and finrays) continued across side of head to join lobe under snout (subrostral lobe).
