Diagnosis: females with illicial length 30% SL, esca with a branched distal filament and a series of branched filaments on each side of bulb; no appendage behind escal pore; barbel divided at or very near base into 18 simple branches, 2 of the anteriormost short, the others of about the same length, about 60% SL; all branches nearly from base carrying stalked photophores. Males unknown.
