Genus Cynoglossus

Cynoglossus Hamilton-Buchanan, 1822

Snout hooked, mouth inferior; needle-like teeth only on blind side, forming a broad but short band on dentary and premaxillae. Pectoral fin absent; pelvic fin confluent with anal fin. Lateral line well developed on eyed side.
