Nybelinella Nielsen, 1972
Snout rather blunt. Indistinct eyes. Palatines without teeth; anterior gill arch with 6 or 7 enlarged and about 18 short rakers. Pectoral peduncle as long as broad, with 23-27 rays. Pelvic fins present. Vertebral centra rectangular in adults.
