Holcomycteronus Garman, 1899
Rather elongate body. Length of head about twice in preanal length. Snout longer than eye. Opercular spine strong. Basibranchial with 2 median and 1 lateral pair of tooth patches. Developed rakers on anterior gill arch 7-10. Pelvic fins with 2 rays in each, flattened distally. Known from bathyal to hadal depths. Oviparous.
