Dibranchus Peters, 1876
Head depressed and expanded to form an oval to subtriangular disk. Esca with the two lateral lobes not distinctly seperated. Scales simple tubercles or tubercles with numerous spinules covering them. Gills 2. Ventral fins not reduced in size, longer than anal; pectoral distinctly elbowed with littleor no membrane connecting pedicel to tail.
