Caulophryne Goode and Bean, 1896
Besides the family characters mentioned above, they are distinct from other ceratioids (except Neoceratias) in having more than 11 anal finrays. Illicium shorter than SL carrying slender filaments. Largest females 110-170 mm, males 12-16 mm.
